Blue Water Black Magic
Argon completed alterations and extensions to the Maritime Museum in Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour to create a tribute to Sir Peter Blake.
The project involved partial demolition of the existing building, then structural strengthening and extending the building over water with a new pop-up roof to house the suspended NZL32 “Black Magic” yacht.
The project included piling for the wharf extension and repairs to the existing wharf structure, much of which was done off a barge or cantilevered scaffolding.
