Argon Construction built an extension to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Waitakere Hospital, and refurbished the existing unit. The project included new cot spaces, patient and mothers’ lounges, staff support and clinical spaces, offices, quiet rooms and a new reception area. The work was carried out while the adjacent hospital wards continue to operate, and completed successfully under strict COVID-19 management restrictions.
