Coates Memorial Church

Argon completed comprehensive repair and maintenance work on the Coates Memorial Church in Matakohe for the Ministry of Culture and Heritage.

The church is a national memorial first built in 1949.

The work included repairs to structural cracks in the buried concrete framework, repair and repointing of brickwork, remediation of buried steel defects, repair and overhauling of external and internal doors, and joinery repairs. It also included repairs to the original copper cladding to the spire and tower flat roof, as well as the copper spouting and downpipes.

Work was completed in February 2026.
