Remuera Library

Remuera Library is a notable landmark on a prominent corner in central Auckland. The Neo-Georgian building was built in 1926 and is a Heritage New Zealand Category 1 listed building.

The building had been identified as earthquake-prone, with a seismic score of 15% New Building Standard (NBS). This project strengthened the building to 67% NBS.

Argon also carried out restoration and remedial works to ensure the building can be used and enjoyed well into the future.

The building will be officially reopened on 10 April 2025.

Through your unwavering dedication, tireless hard work, and exceptional collaboration, the project was completed on time while achieving significant cost savings where possible—an outstanding accomplishment we can all take immense pride in…

…this project stands as a testament to the power of true teamwork. Every member brought their unique expertise and perspectives, working together to achieve something truly remarkable. Your commitment to supporting one another and your relentless pursuit of excellence throughout the project’s lifecycle set a standard that exemplifies the very best of teamwork.

The positive impact of this project on the community cannot be overstated. It represents the enduring legacy of our team, providing a safer and more welcoming environment for the community to enjoy this beautiful heritage asset.
